Minister Said Students Of Madrasas Are Better Than PhD!
The Taliban government of Afghanistan issued a new decree on education. According to this, the degrees of students who have done post graduation or graduation during 20 years will not be recognized.
Higher Education Minister Abdul Baqi Haqqani said- It has been decided not to recognize students who got degrees in higher education during Ashraf Ghani or Hamid Karzai government. The reason for this is that during these governments, religious education was not given importance in the education sector.
Meeting at Kabul University :-
According to Afghan news agency Tolo News, Haqqani held a meeting with professors at Kabul University. During this, the minister said – during 2000 to 2020, graduate and post graduate degrees are of no use. There is no work with the government for the people who got degrees in these 20 years.
He said that now such teachers should be recruited who make the students and the coming generations aware of the country, so that the benefit of their talent can be availed by the country in future. More attention should be given to religious education. There are more teachers than those who have done PHD now, who have got education in madrasas.
This decision of the Taliban is as surprising as the old decisions. This is because most experts in the world agree that the level of Afghan education has improved significantly in the last 20 years. Now in the new regime of Taliban, efforts are being made to bring it again only on religious basis.
Dislikes Co-Education:- Earlier, the Taliban had given an order that only female teachers would be able to teach girls. For this women teachers will be needed. Otherwise, for the time being, older male teachers can teach girls. Before this their records will be checked. Boys and girls cannot sit together in class. The Taliban had also announced that the syllabus of higher education in the country would be changed. Subjects that are against Sharia law will be removed. The ministry also said that in the coming time, they will also start such a study program under which students can go abroad for studies.
